Because it's Friday...and it's Alizee Jacotey

I have a new found appreciation for... for fine music

CanadianSense  – (8:49 PM)

For the first time I am cheering for the TSA - scanners and her announcement of a 50 city tour is the USA.

rick mcginnis  – (8:56 PM)

The latest in a noble lineage of adorable French chanteuses going back to Sylvie Vartan, France Gall, Francoise Hardy and BB. I still maintain, however, that the French are the least musical people in Europe.

rick mcginnis  – (8:58 PM)

(PS - she'll be in a Godard film in a year, I bet.)

Blazing Cat Fur  – (9:13 PM)

Adorable is right. I think I will feature Francoise Hardy next.

I may have to get a ticket to that tour.

rick mcginnis: "I still maintain, however, that the French are the least musical people in Europe."

With those looks, who's paying attention to the vocals?

Blazing Cat Fur  – (10:16 PM)

You mean she's a singer?

Al the fish  – (1:30 AM)

Her name is Al(izee), she has a fish on her outfit, its a sign BCF- she wants me!!!!!

Is it just me or does she look a bit like a young Carole Laure or Genevieve Bujold?

Blazing Cat Fur  – (2:54 AM)

It must be a sign Al, rush to her side! She has that Gallic je ne said what.

dmurrell  – (5:04 AM)

BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!
Lindsay Lohan was allowed out of rehab (Betty Ford Centre) to spend Thanksgiving with her father! She is showing progress!!! Let's root for the youngster to start making films again!!

dmurrell  – (5:12 AM)

BillyHW  – (7:29 AM)

I see you've finally discovered the reason the internet was invented

JayZen  – (7:43 AM)

Silly fact, but in World of Warcraft (a PC MMORPG game) the female Night Elf's dance is modeled off of Alizee's dance seen here.

Miss Trixie  – (8:48 AM)

It's the wunnerful, tolerant, inner-struggling ROP participating in the rich diversity of the west's tapestry:

Another misunderstander of *spit* islam because, you know, Christmas is evil and it's against sharia to have a public tree-lighting ceremony complete with a car bomb in your stocking.

F***ers.

Blazing Cat Fur  – (9:39 AM)

Thankss Mis T will post that. I may have to consider becoming a WOW fan;)

Poor Lindsay, gone but not forgotten.

"...the least musical people in Europe"?! What an ignorant comment, Rick.

In fact some of the greatest (classical) composers of the 20th century -- Ravel, Debussy, Poulenc, Milhaud, Fauré -- have been French, and in the popular arena names like Charles Trenet, Maurice Chevalier, Édith Piaf, Georges Brassens, Léo Ferré, Charles Aznavour, Mireille Mathieu, Gilbert Bécaud and Jacques Brel quickly come to mind.

John B  – (12:57 PM)

Rick: She's not French; Alizee was born in Corsica. ;-)

Here is a much better video in my opinion:

John B  – (1:26 PM)

While we are on the topic of French ladies, I nominate Melissa Theuriau. If there is a more beautiful woman anywhere, I haven't seen her.

The english version of the song BCF:

She's in a fish tank!!!!

I'm starting to go all Travis Bickle here.....

Blazing Cat Fur  – (3:32 PM)

I don't blame you Al - not in the least.

Ah so another Corsican sets out to conquer Europe, thanks John, now while Ms. Theuriau is a beauty she lacks that Gamin like quality of Al's beloved Alizee.

Chris I think Rick may have been referring to French Pop music which does tend to be derivative.

Walker Morrow  – (5:41 PM)

I thought Alizee was dead?

Blazing Cat Fur  – (6:00 PM)

If she is then this is Alizee Heaven - http://tinyurl.com/2dzxufl

Paul  – (8:13 PM)

... woo-woo-argghh-grunt-grunt whoo-wheee!!!

... she's a wild bird.
